What is Holistic Counseling?
Holistic Counseling acknowledges the body, mind, and spiritual connection in a person’s being and life. Holistic Counseling is like traditional counseling or therapy; you meet with your therapist on a regular basis, discuss the things in your life that you want to improve, and together you create a plan for how to achieve your goals. It is essential that a safe environment is established where there is trust, respect, confidentiality and honesty in order to develop a therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist. This allows change, growth and healing to occur.
Because I recognize the whole person I may suggest getting bodywork (massage, acupuncture, energy healing) or encourage you to implement body/mind exercises (qigong or yoga) into your life. Individuals, couples and families can all benefit from this process.
